Last updated: 29.10.2026. This policy explains, in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), what happens to your data when you visit this website.

2. In short

This site uses no cookies, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking tools. It has no forms, accounts or comment function. I do not collect your name or email address through this site.

3. Hosting and server logs (Netlify)

This site is hosted by Netlify, Inc., 512 2nd Street, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you open a page, your browser automatically sends technical data to the server, such as your IP address, date and time, the page requested, and browser type. This is needed to deliver the site securely and reliably. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in running a secure website). I do not use these logs to identify you. Retention periods are set by Netlify; see its privacy policy: netlify.com/privacy. Netlify’s commitments on GDPR and its data processing agreement are described at netlify.com/gdpr-ccpa.

4. Transfers to the USA

Because Netlify is a US company, data may be processed in the USA. Netlify is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (see dataprivacyframework.gov/list), which the European Commission recognises as providing an adequate level of protection (Art. 45 GDPR).

5. Numbers you type into the dashboard

If you type your own values into the dashboard, they are saved only in your browser’s local storage on your own device so that they are still there next time. They are not sent to me or to anyone else. You can delete them at any time by clearing your browser’s site data.

6. Live data (Cloudflare)

To show current values, your browser requests them from a small data service that I run on Cloudflare Workers (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). This request transmits your IP address and technical request data to Cloudflare, which is needed to deliver the data. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The service itself stores no personal data about you. It retrieves public economic data from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis (FRED) on its own, without passing on your data. Cloudflare transfers data to the USA based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses. More information: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

7. External links

The dashboard links to external sources (for example FRED, FINRA, multpl.com). Nothing is loaded from these sites when you open this page. Only if you click a link does your browser connect to them, and their own privacy policies then apply.

8. Contact by email

If you email me, I process your address and message to answer you. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, or Art. 6(1)(b) if your message concerns a contract. I delete the correspondence once the matter is settled, unless legal retention duties apply.

9. Your rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). Where processing rests on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. You are not subject to automated decision-making. To use your rights, email economy-watch@gmail.com.

10. Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU country where you live, work or where the alleged infringement took place (Art. 77 GDPR).
